Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Check The Fine print ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Service provides AI-powered analysis of legal documents to help users understand plain-English summaries, identify risks, and generate negotiation suggestions. The Service does not constitute legal advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified solicitor or lawyer.
3. Credit System
Access to document analysis requires credits. Credits are purchased at a rate of £1 GBP per credit. Each document analysis costs 4 credits (£4 GBP). Credits are non-refundable once purchased. Credits do not expire. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Square, Inc. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge your card for the selected credit amount. All transactions are final. No refunds will be issued for purchased credits, regardless of whether they are used.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to: (a) upload documents you do not have the right to submit; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the Service; (c) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated analysis may contain errors. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or legal validity of any analysis output.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any reliance on AI-generated analysis.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
